Ground Zero's New Skyline

Set to be the tallest building in New York, One World Trade is already soaring high above the downtown skyline. The building currently stands at 78 stories and will eventually climb to 104 floors when completed in 2013. One World Trade will also include an observation deck and premier restaurant (an ode to Windows on the World, perhaps?)

Also opening this September - the 9/11 Memorial and Museum - which is set in the footprints of the original twin towers among an eight acre tree-filled park. The Memorial features two 50-foot deep reflection pools, along with a museum displaying artifacts and memoriabilia.

One World Trade will also have a few other partners in crime - Towers 2, 3, 4 & 5 - which will include mostly office space and shops across several floors on Greenwich Street.

Tower 7 was the first to be rebuilt in 2006 and is one of the premier (and most secure) office buildings in Downtown Manhattan.

With all of these Towers going up, one detail almost (but not quite) escapes us... Where the heck is Tower 6?

  1. Nobody should forget about what happened on 9/11 but it shouldn't stop the people from moving on with their lives as well.

  2. I just noticed it now! Tower 6 does elude my sight. Either way, the 9/11 incident will always be remembered.
