Mission to Mars via NYC

While the masses may be talking about the Space Shuttle Enterprise arriving onboard the Intrepid in NYC (which is no doubt exciting), those in the know are buzzing about the next big thing.

Head uptown to the Park Avenue Armory to see Artist extraordinaire Tom Sachs as he displays his massive 55,000 square foot "SPACE MISSION: MARS" exhibition. The team will “lift off” to Mars several times throughout their residency at the Armory, with real-time demonstrations playing out various narratives from take-off to landing, including planetary excursions, their first walk on the surface of Mars, collecting scientific samples, and photographing the surrounding landscape.

So skip the lines at the Intrepid and experience your own hands-on space odyssey now through June 17.
